Arsenal Legend: Thierry Henry

I have yet to see a striker that possesses all of the necessary quality attributes since Thierry Henry in his prime.  He was such a phenomenal striker, so composed; so cool and collected when the pressure of delivering was at it's paramount highest.

His style of play was one that was unique to football, the world had never seen a striker with such blistering pace, exquisite touch and composure before, and his capabilities reveal itself in the most blatant fashion when studying his incredible goal return ratio for Arsenal which was 174 goals, get this, in 254 games, do the math.

Those stats are one only a monster of a goal scoring machine can dream of mustering.  But what establishes Henry even more as the epitome of the term "striker", is the sheer class of each 174 goals he bagged - silky smooth, downright clever - they were goals that can only be explained when fantasy met reality.

In the past there have been sensational strikers, no doubt. Even in the Frenchman's generation, he was surrounded with a bundle of other remarkable strikers, yet, he seemed to be in a pedigree of his own.  He used to slot goals home similar to how a gambler would slot his last coin into the machine.  He was an addict for goals the French wizard, he quite simply could not stop scoring.

He will forever be a considered a goal scoring legend, as the weight of his performances were well appreciated by both the Arsenal fans, and to the overall development of the Premier League.

What we have for you is something rather special.  Below is the first part of the video which contains the first segment of all 174 goals that Henry scored for Arsenal.  It's a very good watch for any true footy fan, but pay special attention to the date's in which he scored and the final scoreline of the match, and only then would you properly understand the overall importance of Thierry Henry's role as striker for the Gunners.

Thierry Henry, the King of Arsenal.
